Mistletoe Meltdown

The season of giving is upon us and some of my author friends have put together this amazing holiday blog hop! I'm thrilled to be a part of it and hope you'll visit each stop, discovering new authors along the way.

I learned some interesting things about Mistletoe while preparing for this post. I thought I'd find one or two fun facts to weave in here for a little holiday fun. What I didn't expect to find is that Mistletoe is actually a parasite plant, leaching water and nutrients from the host plant. Hmm, the wheels are already turning and plot lines are forming just from one harmless little visit to Wikipedia.

I'll be giving away a complete set of e-books for my series, some swag bags, custom made soaps scented like characters in the books and a $25.00 Amazon gift card. Swag bags and soaps are limited to U.S. shipping. Leave a comment below between December 13th-20th to enter! Winners selected at random. Comments left before the 13th or after the 20th will not be included in the drawing.

Hoping your holiday is filled with love, laughter and of course plenty of kisses under the mistletoe! The mistletoe is still hung up in farm-houses and kitchens at Christmas, and the young men have the privilege of kissing the girls under it, plucking each time a berry from the bush. When the berries are all plucked the privilege ceases.  1820 American author Washington Irving

    1. Hi Frenchpeach! You just made my day! I'm so glad you enjoyed the books. My fourth book is scheduled for release on February 14th! That's right around the corner! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas as well! We've been having a fair amount of snow out my way. This might be the first white Christmas we've had in a while. :)

  4. Merry Christmas. Mistletoe doesn't grow in Australia so we hang plastic stuff. If my hubby ate a plastic berry everytime he stole a kiss he would have a tummy ache

    1. Hi Jen! I'm giving away ebooks, so being in the UK isn't a problem for me! :) I am pretty sure the authors who are only shipping items in the US will have that posted on their blog. You should still have plenty of chances to win! Good luck!

  16. Interesting facts. Thank you for sharing.
I was not aware that it is a parasite plant. I always associated it with Christmas and happy thoughts/memories.
I think I am just going to stick with that. ;)
I also didn't realize that people picked the berries off of them. I just thought they were hung there. Lol.
I hope you have a fabulous holiday season! Enjoy it.
Thank you for participating in the hop and the giveaway!
